Privacy Policy

Who this notice covers

SHC Family Essentials is responsible for personal information submitted through this catalogue website. This site helps visitors discover products and contact us; it does not provide an on-site account, wishlist, cart, payment or checkout service.

Purchases take place on eBay. eBay and the business seller identified on the relevant listing or order provide their own privacy information for account, order, payment, delivery and returns data.

Information collected on this website

If you submit the contact form, your entries are sent through FormSubmit, our form-delivery provider, to the SHC Family Essentials business email inbox. The website does not create a customer account, payment record or SHC website database entry from your enquiry.

Ahrefs Web Analytics provides cookie-free, aggregated site measurement on every visit. Ahrefs processes page URLs, referrers, device and browser information, approximate location and common interactions without cookies or persistent cross-day identifiers; raw IP addresses are discarded rather than stored. Separately, if you choose Accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 receives limited measurement information about how this site is used. The Google tag is not loaded before that choice.

• Your name and email address when you contact us
• The subject and content of your enquiry
• Any product or order reference you choose to include
• Technical information processed by the form, hosting and security infrastructure to deliver and protect the website
• Cookie-free Ahrefs measurement: pages viewed, referrer, approximate city or country, device, browser and language information, link clicks and form submissions
• With GA4 analytics consent: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser information, referral source, scrolling, outbound clicks and other enabled website interactions

Why we use it and our lawful basis

• Responding to general enquiries: our legitimate interests in providing customer support
• Responding before or about a purchase: taking steps at your request or supporting a contract
• Keeping necessary correspondence: our legitimate interests in service quality, dispute handling and protecting legal rights
• Aggregated, cookie-free site measurement: our legitimate interests in understanding and improving website use
• Meeting legal or regulatory duties where they apply

Who receives information

Enquiry information may be handled by FormSubmit, our business email provider and authorised people who respond to the enquiry. Technical information may be processed by the website hosting, delivery and security providers. If you accept analytics, Google processes the resulting GA4 measurement data for SHC Family Essentials. We do not sell personal information.

When you follow a link to eBay or a social platform, that service receives information under its own privacy notice. Review the destination's notice before providing personal information.

Cookies, analytics and marketing

The site uses Ahrefs Web Analytics for aggregated measurement without cookies or persistent identifiers. This is separate from optional Google Analytics 4 measurement. The Google tag is withheld unless you select Accept analytics. If you reject optional analytics, the application does not load that tag. Your choice is stored locally so the site can remember it.

You can reopen Cookie settings at any time to change or withdraw your choice. Withdrawal stops future optional measurement from this browser and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies for this domain. We do not use an advertising pixel, and Google signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in the site configuration. Strictly necessary hosting or access-security technology may still operate to deliver and protect the service.

How long we keep enquiries

We normally keep enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact. FormSubmit states that form submissions are retained by its service for up to 30 days. We may keep a record longer where reasonably necessary to meet a legal obligation, resolve a complaint, prevent fraud or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised.

International processing

Some hosting, email, Ahrefs Web Analytics, Google Analytics, eBay or social-platform providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. The relevant provider notice explains its locations and safeguards. Contact us if you need more information about safeguards relevant to information controlled by SHC Family Essentials.

Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your personal information, or object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. Not every right applies in every situation.
